Responsibilities included creating lesson plans, gathering materials while following a strict budget, controlling the classroom, making disciplinary actions, responsibility for all students while in my classroom, timely completing paperwork for Americorps and the Board of Education, as well as mentoring a smaller group of 10 students and communicating with those students, their parent, and other staff members to solve any problems or issues that presented themselves
Community Art Center Intern

Internship with a recently opened, non-profit Art Center in a low income neighborhood in which I directly assisted the Executive Supervisor
Responsibilities included assisting in installing and removing art exhibits, assisting in planning and organizing art classes and events, recruiting volunteers within the community, co-leader of PR team which consisted of creating press releases for all classes and events and distributing that information to local print publications, online resources, and scheduling radio and written interviews

Organized and directed play in effort to raise money for local and international non-profit organization fighting to end domestic abuse and gender inequality.
Responsibilities included organizing and directing auditions, rehearsals, and performances, creating and organizing awareness events on campus, in charge of creating and managing fundraising events, monitoring finances and distributing money to non-profits.
